"Heavyweight Ardi Ndembo, of Congo, has reportedly died after being put into an induced coma following a knockout in Team Combat League competition April 5 in Miami.

On Thursday night, Viva Promotions posted an update to its X account that read: “We at Viva Promotions mourn the loss of Ardi Ndembo, a talented Congolese boxer who tragically passed away after a knockout in a Team Combat League match on April 5. He remained in an induced coma until his untimely death. RIP Ardi Ndembo!”

Ndemobo, a 27-year-old from Brazzaville, Congo, was a father of two who had been competing for the Miami Assassins of the TCL. He was knocked out by Nestor Santana of the Las Vegas Hustle and, according to Marca, remained unconscious on the canvas for “several agonizing minutes.”

Ndembo was moved to a Miami hospital shortly after being felled, and a GoFundMe campaign to benefit his children was later organized by Team Combat League, which promised to match all donations up to $25,000.

Jeff Mayweather, coach of the Las Vegas Hustle and uncle to Floyd Mayweather Jr., told SunSport: “Boxing’s a sport where you grow up watching it and loving it, but there’s so much risk involved.

"Anyone can lose their life from boxing. When something like this happens, it wakes up the whole entire world.”

Pryor's trainer Panama Lewis later lost his license for removing padding from Luis Resto's gloves before his fight with Billy Collins Jr. In a 2009 documentary, Luis Resto, a former boxer trained by Panama Lewis, disclosed that Lewis used to break apart antihistamine pills and mix the medicine into his water. This practice reportedly enhanced his lung capacity during the later rounds of a fight. Resto's revelation sparked further speculation about whether Lewis had introduced an unauthorized substance into Pryor's water during his bout with Arguello.
 
The incident added an aura of intrigue to what was already a legendary fight, leading to years of debate and discussion among boxing fans and historians. Despite the controversy, Pryor's victory and the dramatic nature of the fight cemented its place in boxing history.

A DoorDash driver was caught on camera sp**ting on a food order he delivered to a Florida home over the weekend. The disgusting behavior was captured by the homeowner’s doorbell camera at an apartment complex in Kendall on Saturday afternoon — and may have been in response to a lousy tip, Local 10 reported. The driver set the bagged food down on the apartment’s stoop, snapped a photo for proof of delivery on the DoorDash app and then spat on the bag three times while mumbling something inaudible under his breath, the footage shows. A 13-year-old boy and his mother who placed the order said their stomachs turned when they watched the incident unfold in real-time through the live video. “My reaction was I wanted to throw up,” the teen, Elias Crisanto, told Local 10. “It’s so disgusting. I mean, who does that?” He said he and his mom paid around $30 for the order and added a $3 tip. They guessed the driver was displeased by the amount they tipped and decided to spray their order with his saliva as punishment. Crisanto said he sent DoorDash the recording and asked for a refund, but was initially denied until he got a customer service rep on the phone. The company said the driver involved will no longer be able to deliver for DoorDash in an email to the teen. “We do not condone this type of action and have therefore taken the step in removing them from our platform,” DoorDash said. “This Dasher will no longer be able to deliver future orders on DoorDash. Undefeated German boxer Musa Askan Yamak died after suffering a heart attack, according to a Turkish official. The Turkish-born German boxer, 38, was undefeated with a record of 8-0, including 8 KOs. Yamak was viewed coming out for the third round of the bout, but collapsed on the ground and fell unconscious before he could enter the ring. His opponent Ugandan veteran Hamza Wandera was declared the winner. German and international media reported how Yamak wanted to continue fighting but was knocked unconscious and couldnâ€™t be revived.
