Amazing Story: After Mother's Death, Family Raises Funds To Help Her Nursing Aide Finish Schooling!
Judy fell ill, suffering complications from her ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. Her condition worsened rapidly and she required medical care at home. The family hired a nursing aid who cancelled at the last minute. Instead, a woman named TunDe Hector showed up in her place. Unbeknownst to both TunDe and the entire Wright family, they were all connected in a serendipitous way. In fact, TunDe’s path had crossed with a member of the Wright family three years before she showed up to care for an ailing Judy. It all came to light one day when TunDe shared a story with Judy and her family. She recalled a particularly difficult day in 2014, when a stranger had helped her, She had run out of gas, and with only $5 in her pocket, was walking to a gas station, gas can in hand. A man saw her walking and turned his car around. He paid for her gas and gave her all the cash left in his wallet. Upon hearing the story, Judy’s son, Chris, was stunned. He was the stranger that had helped TunDe on that difficult day. The family and TunDe knew this was more than a coincidence. As people of faith, they believed that God had orchestrated that meeting. And now, TunDe was Judy’s guardian angel, sent to provide care, love, and prayer during her time of need. During Judy’s care, the Wright family learned about TunDe’s family and her own dreams. A nursing aid, TunDe hoped that one day she could become an OBGYN nurse. Her tuition was past due and she had a family to care for, but she was determined to achieve that goal for herself and her family. Five days before Judy passed away, TunDe pulled Judy’s son Chris aside. She told him the Holy Spirit spoke to her and told her Judy would pass away on her birthday. Judy died on July 9, 2017, as she had predicted. In lieu of flowers, they asked mourners to donate to TunDe’s education, to assist her in paying for nursing school and fulfilling her dreams. In less than a week, they raised more than $8,000 for her!
