Family Dog Kills 2-Month Old Baby! (Ripped Child's Legs Off While Father Slept In Other Room)

"A family dog attacked and killed a two-month-old
in Ridgeville Friday morning.

According to the Dorchester County Sheriff, at
11:08 a.m., Aiden McGrew was bitten multiple times
and dismembered by a retriever-lab mix dog at home
while his mother was away and the father was
sleeping.

One other child and another dog was in the home at
the time of the attack, but was unharmed.

The baby was transported to Summerville Medical
Center by Dorchester County EMS. He was pronounced
dead Friday afternoon. An autopsy will be perfomed
Saturday.

Christopher Nisbet, the Dorchester County Coroner,
released a statement Friday afternoon.

"Today is one of the saddest days in my 20+ years
of being in the Dorchester County Coroner's Office
as I report one of the worst deaths I have ever
handled," Nisbet said in an email. "I will do an
autopsy tomorrow to hopefully be able to determine
if the child died prior to dismemberment."" -2
