Man Who Hurled Racist Insults And Spat On His Black Neighbors Sobs In Court As Judge Sentences Him To 8 Years In Prison!

A New Jersey man who was caught on video unleashing a racist rant and spitting at his Black neighbors was handed a lengthy prison sentence this Friday, The New York Post reported.



Edward Cagney Mathews, 47, must serve four years of the eight-year sentence that was given to him by Superior Court Judge Gerard H. Breland. He pleaded guilty to four counts of bias intimidation as well as possession of a controlled, dangerous substance with intent to distribute.



According to The Post., Mathews” sobbed” as his sentence was being read.



“Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future,” Mathews said in his statement to the court while shackled and handcuffed. “I want to commit to rebuild the community.” He also apologized to the victims for his “insensitive and disrespectful words in the past.”
