Atlanta rapper Ca$h Out (real name John-Michael Hakeem Gibson) was sentenced to life plus 70 years in July 2025. He was convicted on RICO violations, sex trafficking, rape, aggravated sodomy, and pimping charges after rejecting a 25-year plea deal and taking his case to trial. The prosecution alleged he and family members, including his mother (who got 30 years), used his music label to run a prostitution ring. In his statement to the court, he maintained his innocence, claiming he only dealt with "grown women" who were escorts and that "nothing was forced.
