"Inmate Derrick Estell made a daring escape by crawling through a window and fleeing from the prison to a waiting getaway car while police officers were distracted by his accomplice.
Officials say 33-year-old Derrick Estell went through a window in Garland County Jail in Arkansas early Sunday morning in a planned escape attempt in which he allegedly had help.
The sheriff's department said a man entered the booking area to distract two policemen and Estell jumped through a window and ran from the jail. He fled in a car that was waiting in a nearby alley.
Officials say 58-year-old William Harding is in custody, accused of aiding the escape. Estell is a state prisoner who was in Garland County for a court appearance. He was serving sentences from Garland, Grant and Pulaski counties.
He is still on the loose and authorities say he should be considered armed and dangerous." - APTN
