“I’m Not Your Momma, Don’t Play With Me” Judge Checks 2 Teens Charged In The Fatal Shooting Of 16 Year Old, Tyree Smith… For Fighting In Court!

"A Louisville judge scolded two teenage murder suspects on Wednesday after they were accused of fighting in jail.

The two teenagers, Demaurion Moore and Mekhi Cable, are accused of shooting and killing 16-year-old Tyree Smith while he was waiting for his school bus in 2021.

The fiery scolding came at the beginning of a hearing as both attempted to have their cases tried separately.

"I’m not your momma; don’t play with me," Jefferson County Judge Tracy Davis said.

Investigators said Moore and Cable, who were both 16 at the time of the shooting, drove by the Jefferson County Public School bus stop in a Jeep, allegedly spraying it with bullets. A 12 year old and a 13 year old were also injured in the shooting.

But Davis' scolding focused on the suspects' conduct while in jail.

"Look at all these people in here," Davis said. "The media's here. It's 1000 people in here about your futures, about lives that have been lost, and because y'all want to act like babies."

"I get to decide what your future is, me, and if ya'll back there fighting, you think Imma trust you to do anything that I ask you to do?"

They are currently being tried together, but defense attorneys have asked for the cases to be severed." - Was11 |
